Stinging Insect Control from Mosquito Enemy

Safe Removal of Wasps and Hornets – Massachusetts Only

Nothing ruins time outside faster than a buzzing, angry nest near your home.

If you’ve seen wasps or hornets going in and out of a hole in your siding, roofline, deck, or shrubs, it’s time to let a professional handle it.

Mosquito Enemy offers stinging insect control for wasps and hornets in Massachusetts only.

We safely locate and treat nests so you don’t have to climb ladders, get stung, or spray blindly.

Important note:

We do NOT exterminate honey bees. Honey bees are protected. If you have a honey bee hive, we recommend contacting a local beekeeper for safe relocation.

Why Stinging Insects Are a Problem Around Your Home

Wasps and hornets can:

  • Build nests in eaves, rooflines, soffits, decks, sheds, playsets, and shrubs
  • Become very aggressive when disturbed
  • Sting multiple times and attack in groups

Around homes, this can be a big problem:

  • Kids playing in the yard
  • Guests on the deck or patio
  • People mowing the lawn or working near shrubs
  • Pets sniffing around hidden nest sites

A small nest can turn into a serious comfort and safety issue if it’s not addressed quickly and correctly.

What We Treat – and What We Don’t

We treat:

  • Wasps (paper wasps, etc.)
  • Hornets
  • Yellow jackets and similar stinging insects building nests on or near structures

We focus on nests that:

  • Are attached to your home, deck, fence, shed, or similar structures
  • Are in shrubs or bushes close to the house
  • Are in or around high-traffic areas for people and pets

We do NOT treat:

  • Honey bee hives

Honey bees are protected and important pollinators. If you have a honey bee hive, we recommend calling a local beekeeper or bee removal service for safe relocation.

Our Stinging Insect Control Process

We handle stinging insects so you don’t have to guess or put yourself in danger.

1. Inspection & Nest Location

  • We inspect the area where you’ve seen activity.
  • We look for nests, entry holes, and flight paths.
  • We confirm what type of stinging insect we’re dealing with (wasps, hornets, etc.).

2. Safe Treatment

  • We apply a professional stinging insect product directly to the nest or entry point.
  • We use equipment that allows us to reach eaves, soffits, siding gaps, decks, and shrubs.
  • The treatment is designed to knock down the nest and its occupants.

3. Nest Removal (When Safe and Appropriate)

  • In many cases, once the nest is inactive, we can remove the nest or knock it down.
  • If the nest is in a location that makes removal unsafe or damaging (deep inside walls or voids), we will explain the situation and options.

4. Recommendations

  • We point out places where stinging insects are likely to build again.
  • We give simple tips to help discourage new nests in those areas when possible.
Common Nest Locations We Handle

We commonly find wasp and hornet nests:

  • Under eaves and roof overhangs
  • In soffits and fascia boards
  • Inside siding gaps or small openings
  • Under decks and stairs
  • In bushes, shrubs, and small trees near the home
  • Around sheds, garages, and play structures

If you see insects going in and out of the same spot repeatedly, there’s a good chance there’s a nest there.

Why Choose Mosquito Enemy for Stinging Insect Control?

Professional and Safe

Trying to spray a nest yourself:

  • Often doesn’t reach the whole nest
  • Can make the insects more aggressive
  • Puts you at risk of multiple stings

We use professional products and equipment, applied by trained technicians, so you don’t have to gamble with ladders, cans, and guesswork.

Honest About Honey Bees

We do NOT treat honey bees.

Honey bees are protected and important for pollination. If we determine you have honey bees instead of wasps or hornets, we will:

  • Tell you clearly
  • Recommend contacting a local beekeeper or professional bee relocation service

We want to keep your family safe while also doing the right thing for the environment.
