Ticks on the other hand  just love soil temperatures to stay north of 45 degrees. Early control is most recommended with pesticide treatments targeting ticks as early as late March. Mosquito control should start when your daily temperatures get 50 degrees. Water should be treated even sooner to kill their eggs before their adults.
